1981年出生，2010年于中國科學院遺傳與發育生物學研究所獲得發育生物學博士學位，後赴美國哥倫比亞大學Benjamin Ohlstein實驗室進行博士後研究。研究方向為腸道幹細胞的增殖調控及幹細胞的分化多能性。揭示了BMP信号通路作為腸道損傷後的應激信号，将快速增殖的腸道幹細胞回複到靜息狀态，以避免腫瘤的發生。另外系統的闡釋了多功能幹細胞雙向利用Notch信号通路維持自身的幹細胞特性并制造兩種不同的子代分化細胞。這些工作分别以研究文章的形式發表在國際著名學術刊物Journal of Cell Biology與Science上。2016年受聘于華中科技大學同濟醫學院，目前實驗室利用果蠅為模式動物，對腸道幹細胞的多功能分化進行深入研究，以期理解幹細胞分化的内在生理邏輯和分子基礎，以達到對癌症以分化為導向的轉化醫學治療。
